Course Overview

This brand new course will provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in leadership roles across various industries. With a focus on practical application, students learn about effective communication, problem-solving and decision-making in a management context.
Through hands-on projects and industry-relevant assessments, graduates are prepared to lead teams, implement strategic initiatives, and drive organisational change in today's dynamic business world.
The course will help you to develop as a professional, self-reflecting individual in Leadership and Management and give you the skills to adapt to a constantly changing business world. Made up of a variety of units, you could study: accounting principles, digital business practice, the contemporary business environment, leadership and management, marketing process and planning, management of human resources, managing a successful business plan and operational planning and management.
If you want to enhance your skills and experiences to achieve high performance in the world of business, develop leadership and management skills and understand the major impacts of technology on business then this may be the course for you. During your studies, you will have the opportunity to build a solid foundation in business and develop transferable skills such as communication, teamwork and problem solving techniques.
On successful completion of the Level 5 HND, learners can explore top-up degree options available to them at a variety of higher education institutions, including an exclusive one-year Business and Management or Business and Finance degree with Keele University.

Students who have recently been in education are likely to need one of the following: a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Business, a GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more then one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at 9 to 4 (A*-C) in subjects such as maths and English, other related Level 3 qualifications, an Access to Higher Education Diploma from an approved further education institution, relevant work experience or an international equivalent to the above qualifications. All prospective students will be interviewed and assessed individually.
