State-of-the-art facilities

The College has recently introduced a suite of innovative new facilities to transform the future of teaching and learning at BSDC. The range of new developments have been significantly boosted by £3.5 million funding through the Stronger Towns Fund, making way for exciting new learning areas, including The Biome (a creative hybrid space), Health Simulation Centre, Cyber Security Lab, Mechatronics Lab and Games Studios. The spaces include future orientated, multi-use technology to enhance the learning experience and prepare learners for successful employment in their chosen area.

At our Stephen Burke Construction Academy in Swadlincote, developed in partnership with St. Modwen Homes, learners gain practical skills in a realistic, open-plan training environment that mirrors real-life workplaces, preparing them for successful careers in the construction industry.
